SII is involved in a large number of service innovation projects which are of interest of people who want to be updated about the latest ICT developments in relation to cutting edge innovative services.
The goal of the innovation program Service Innovation & ICT (SII) is to make the Netherlands the European hub for content services and the European centre of excellence for financial logistics. The program SII has started by the Dutch ministry of Economic Affairs in January 2010 and the first phase of SII will run till end 2011. The government has provided a subsidy for the first phase of 12.5 million euro. The program consists of a number subprograms such as the Infrastructure Program, the TOP Program and the Tender Program. The SII office will also execute the subprogram Knowledge Dissemination and Value Acceleration.
The main subjects in the Tender Program are content, connectedness, e-lifestyle, e-invoicing and e-payments. SII focuses on service innovation realized by consortia of co-operating companies and institutions representing large companies, SME’s en knowledge institutes. SII stimulates the growth o ecosystem that will secure the growth of the knowledge intensive service industry.
