Sign up for The Marketplace by 4 July
LATEST STORYPICNIC to set out a new course in 2013
Are you a small company with an exciting new product or service that you want to introduce to thousands of leaders in the creative and business sectors? Then make sure to sign up for The Marketplace! Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Syntens together with KansenKanon and Mediaguild, The Marketplace is taking place for the 6th time during the PICNIC Festival 2011.
The theme of this year's PICNIC Festival is Urban Futures. The world is undergoing the largest wave of population growth in history: we are looking at more than 8 billion people in 2030 and essentially all of the growth will take place in the less developed countries, concentrated among the poorest populations in urban areas. By that time at least 70% of the world population will be living in an urban environment. This will have a huge impact on social interaction, government, infrastructure, sustainability and healthcare. Technology and design will play a leading role in developing potential solutions. Find out more about the theme.
Each day at the PICNIC Festival (14-16 September 2011), The Marketplace will give 25 different young companies the chance to present themselves and interact with the PICNIC audience. Each company will create their own stand in a unique, casual, fast-paced networking environment that looks like a marketplace - but with a PICNIC twist. Companies who have a clear connection to or passion for this year's theme are especially encouraged to apply.
If you're ready to meet inspiring people, share your ideas and get some great business leads, be sure to sign up for The Marketplace before 4 July. You can view more detailed information on the Syntens website (in Dutch) or send an email to Bruni Hofman at Syntens to register your company. Don't hestitate - this is an opportunity you don't want to miss.
