Professors from the HvA came to PICNIC with a series of workshops under the header "New ownership in Creative Processes".

PICNIC Festival Day 2: PICNIC Academy...
This 2-hour interactive workshop encouraged visitors to start brainstorming about the public spaces in the future.

One assignment was to design the square of the future: teams were put together and every participant got a stakeholder role, for example the resident, the tourist or the commuter. The participants got stickers on their foreheads and had to guess their own role. While brainstorming every one had to think from their own perspective. The facilitators really encouraged them to start brainstorming in a 3D way: that's why they build a square with separate components on the table to use while brainstorming. By playing with this physical model, lots of ideas were generated about future spaces.
