mogelijkheden van nieuwe media voor jongeren, docenten, educatief professionals en creatieve makers.

PICNIC YOUNG is het jongere broertje van de internationale PICNIC Crossmedia week en vindt dit jaar voor de tweede keer plaats in Amsterdam. Van 22 tm 26 september 2008 zijn Pakhuis de Zwijger en het Westergasfabriekterrein de hotspots waar een aansprekend programma van Labs en Specials zich ontvouwt.

Interactieve seminars
De Picnic Young Specials zijn interactieve seminars over creatieve technologie in educatie. Een must voor docenten, educatief professionals en creatieve makers die op de hoogte willen blijven van waardevolle ontwikkelingen op dit gebied.

Workshops voor jongeren
Picnic Young Labs zijn interactieve workshops waarin leerlingen uit het voorgezet en middelbaar beroepsonderwijs zich te buiten kunnen gaan aan nieuwe mediatools.

At Picnic 2008 Media Guild organized the partner event The Creative Tour and the picnic event the Day of the Media Lab's.

Creative Tour 2008
The Creative Tour –an evening boat trip- will provide a selected international group of PICNIC visitors a lively impression of Amsterdam as an international cross media hub. Introducing the most creative companies in the cross media industry. The tour is a collaboration project between Syntens, Mediaguild.

Day of the Media Labs 2008
At the Day of the Media Labs a selected group of Media Labs from around the world discussed the future of the Media Labs in relation to Media Innovation, Research, Social and Cultural Application, and Regional Development.
