Thieme went to Delft University of Technology, where he got a passion for learning (and technology), open innovation, and the possibilities offered by the Internet. He likes to play sports like hockey and golf, and currently works for an Internet startup called PEERS (aboutpeers.com).
He is currently trying to set up a Ph.D. research on the concept of "activity based professional profiles", meaning that a personal profile (and similarly content profile) consists of information about how active someone is, how his/her contributions are valued in community, and more or less what his/her added value is.
