Renato graduated at the Utrecht Graduate School of the Arts with an MA in Interactive Multimedia and BA with Honours in Interaction Design in 2007. He currently is involved in several multidisciplinary design projects like SeNSA (Haptic Cow Interface), E (Web 3.0) and works as a freelance designer other studios. He has a background in Interaction, Product and Graphic Design for innovative user experiences.
Renato focuses on the perception of visual and tactile aesthetics in his work as an Interaction Designer. Together with Paul Geurts, MA, he's been active in several successful projects, including SeNSA (cowboys.hku.nl), an educational experience to help veterinary students in prenatal research, and E (hellomynameise.com), an innovative communicational brand, bringing online communities to the physical world.
SeNSA has been presented to Utrecht University's faculty board and received with great appreciation. Renato was also an invited speaker at the 6th World Congress on Alternatives in Veterinary Medicine in Tokyo, Japan, where further interest in SeNSA as an academic tool was expressed.
E, or Hello, my name is E is a brand concept containing three vertically integrated products, with the aim to evoke face-to-face human interaction through physical and virtual products. Renato is currently starting up a design studio and freelancing for several other Amsterdam based studios (selected clients include Coca-Cola, Ministerie van Verkeer en Waterstaat, Vrij Nederland, KRO, Roorda Reclame), as well as speaking at several conferences.
