General Terms and Conditions for Registration

Article 1 – Definitions

ACMW: Stichting Amsterdam Cross Media Week, a foundation, incorporated and existing under the laws of the Netherlands, having its principle place of business at Herengracht 386, 1016 CJ Amsterdam;
PICNIC: a cross media event named ‘PICNIC’, organised by ACMW;
General Terms & Conditions: these general terms & conditions;
Participant: each party, being a natural person or legal person, participating in any way in PICNIC.

Article 2 – Registration fee

2.1 Participants who wish to attend (one or more specific parts of) PICNIC can register for the event online.

2.2 For each registration for PICNIC or partial registration, payment of a registration fee is due, unless otherwise agreed between a Participant and ACMW. The registration fees applicable are set forth on www.picnicnetwork.org. Payment of the registration fee can be made either by invoice or online via the PICNIC website of ACMW by credit card through a secure server.

2.3 After payment of the registration fee is received by ACMW, the participant will receive a confirmation of its registration. With this confirmation, the participant shall be able to collect its ticket(s) at the reception of PICNIC.

Article 3 - Participation

3.1 The number of Participants that can attend PICNIC, or parts thereof, is limited. Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the maximum number of Participants of (parts of) PICNIC is reached, ACMW has the right to refuse a registration. Moreover, ACMW retains the right to reject any Participant.

3.2 ACMW cannot guarantee a minimum number of Participants to (any part of) the Cross Media Week Event.

3.3 ACMW reserves the right to amend and adapt the event’s programme and speakers’ list of PICNIC.

Article 4 - Liability

4.1 ACMW will under no circumstances be liable for any damages whatsoever arising from the refusal of a registration.

4.2 ACMW shall not be liable for any damages of a Participant arising in connection with PICNIC.

4.3 Under no circumstance shall ACWM be liable for any damage arising pursuant to a situation of force majeure. The expression "force majeure" shall mean and include any circumstance or occurrence beyond ACMW's reasonable control - whether or not foreseeable at the time of registration - in consequence of which ACMW cannot reasonably be required to execute its obligations. Such circumstances or occurrences explicitly include but are not restricted to: war, fires, floods, earthquakes, labor disputes, strikes, epidemics, governmental regulations and/or similar acts, embargoes, defaults of suppliers or subcontractors, disruption of electricity supplies, the non-availability of telecommunication services and withdrawal of the Dutch government and/or the city of Amsterdam as sponsor(s) of PICNIC.

Article 5 – Cancellation and transfer

5.1 The following cancellation policy applies to those who have registered as Participant of PICNIC. Should you in any event wish to cancel your registration, please notify our registration department thereof in writing, which written notice can be send to rolinka@crossmediaweek.org (email).

5.2 Should the Participant be unable to attend PICNIC for any reason, the Participant may transfer the registration to another person within its organization or company at any time by providing written notice to either of the following address rolinka@crossmediaweek.org (email).

5.3 In the event of cancellations, no refunds will be provided by ACMW.
