Speakers and team captains of the Hot100 groups debate about collective creativity and innovation. Alan Kay: “The best way to predict the future is to create it!”

The internet is more or less stabilizing and has become generally accepted and used by (almost) everyone. Large number of people are connected and collaborating in all kinds of ways. There’s no use to address single successful projects anymore, but it is time to look at the bigger picture. Where does innovation come from after 2008 and how can new and fresh things be made in a world where everybody is connected? In this debate we will discuss the role of commercial, political and cultural parties and more important we will discuss the role YOU / (the new and enthusiastic talent) want to play in the creation of the future.
Location: Westerliefde

Hot Cafe | 17.30 -18.30
Still not tired of the Hot100 talents? Move to the Buzz Hall to get a drink with them.

A little more about Virtueel Platform and the Hot100. Virtueel Platform -founded in 1997- is an independent expertise centre (NGO) that stimulates innovation and supports knowledge exchange in the field of e-culture in the Netherlands. We operate within an international network of cultural and media organisations, both arts and commercially oriented.

Hot100 are the cream of the crop of soon-to-be or recent graduates in creative digital media in the Netherlands, hand picked by their teachers and talent-nurturing networks. We offer them an opportunity to present themselves to professionals in the new media and
e-Culture field at PICNIC.

Besides this event Virtueel Platform also organizes a presentation of a selection of Dutch & international state of the e-art projects, GamePrize Ding! and e-mapping the Netherlands.

Towards the Hot100 on the 25th of September every week Virtueel Platform will launch a profile of one selected Hot100. In total there will be six hot profiles to preview.
