Cross Media Week protects your data

General
The Amsterdam Cross Mediaweek Foundation (the “Foundation”) deems it very important to treat any and all of your personal data in a confidential manner. Therefore, the Foundation processes such personal data in accordance with the demands for such a process included in the Personal Data Protection act (in Dutch: Wet bescherming persoonsgegevens). In this privacy policy the Foundation policy is explained a little further. Please be informed that the policy of the Foundation may change form time to time. Therefore we suggest you take notice of the Foundation’s policy on a regular basis.

Collected Data and Purpose
The Foundation collects various sorts of personal data. The most important one are name, address (including e-mail address), phone number, IP addresses etcetera. The Foundation collects such data in order to (i) make it possible for the Foundation to inform you on the event ‘Picnic ‘08’ and possible further events organized by the Foundation; (ii) make it possible to register visitors of this website who wish to attend Picnic ’08. The Foundation only uses your email address and name to send you a newsletter about upcoming PICNIC's, which you can opt-out of at any time. The Foundation explicitly does not provide any personal data to third parties having a (legal) relationship with the Foundation. Any provision by the Foundation of personal data to any third party shall only be done after the prior written approval of the individual concerned.

Non personal information
The Foundation automatically receives certain non personal information, including but not limited to the type of internet browser you are using and the site through which you are linked to the Foundation’s website. The Foundation shall use such information to optimize its website and to become more informed about the visitors of its website.

Other sites
The Foundation can not be held responsible for the content, use and/or privacy policy of any third party, irrespective whether such site links to the Foundation’s website (or the Foundation links to such website) or not. We advise you to take (prior) notice of the privacy policy of such website(s).

Protection
The Foundation has taken sufficient precautions to try to prevent the unauthorized and/or improper use of your personal information.

Correction
Upon request you shall be provided with a copy of the personal data collected by the Foundation of you. After reviewing these, you can request the Foundation to (i) adjust your personal data; or (ii) remove your personal data of the individual. The Foundation shall respond within four (4) weeks as of the date of such a request and shall inform you if and which changes or deletions are made.
