PICNIC speaker Paul Pope designs for DKNY
As the Wall Street Journal reports, "Paul Pope usually draws costumes for superheroes. Now he's designing clothes for real people".
DKNY, the New York fashion company started by Donna Karan, has asked Pope to design his own line for the DKNY Jeans brand, bringing his graphic work to pants, hoodies and T-shirts. The line debuts this fall.
It's a beautiful example of imagination crossing platforms. PICNIC'08 will showcase more examples of creativity that jumps from one industry to the next.
