Sir Richard's Commitment to Sustainable Energy Initiatives

About five years ago, he read the book “The Skeptical Environmentalist”, partly because the airline business is “a dirty business”. Al Gore came to his house and spent a few hours giving him a personal lecture. Gore suggested that Sir Richard alert people to the dangers of climate change. Sir Richard subsequently committed to investing a large percentage of the profits from his airline business in sustainable energy products. Sir Richard spoke about the fuel of the future, wind, solar, better use of the sun, sugar (eg. sugar-based ethanol) and butanol.
