I bring open cities

From February 2008 Gijs van Rijn is a Projectmanager for sector ICT at Amsterdam Innovation Motor (AIM). Gijs studied Science & Innovation Management at the University of Utrecht and has a great interest in everything related to Technology & Society. AIM is an intermediar non-profit organization that develops projects for the knowledge-intensive sectors for metropolis Amsterdam by forging alliances between companies, governments and research institutions. Several public- private partnership project where Gijs was/is involved:

Amsterdam Smart City - Introducing smart concepts to the city of Amsterdam. Responsible for several pilots, overall project process and evaluation.

Service Centre Open Innovation - Stimulate growth of SMEs by providing customized Open Innovation consulting. Responsible for acquisition, organizing/facilitating workshops and project evaluation.

Amsterdam Opent - Co-Creation experiment between the city of Amsterdam and its inhabitants (and beyond). I was Crowdsource mediator of the Energy case. Responsible for interaction with the public and the development/implementation of a Social Media strategy.

Experiments in Health & Social Care environments using Living Lab methods and community building approaches.

Open Cities (EU)
Development and support of trials and platforms in Crowdsourcing, Open Data, (Urban) Living Labs, FttH and Open Sensor Networks in five major European cities: Helsinki, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and Barcelona. I'm crowdsource expert to foreign cities and projectmanager for Amsterdam initiatives.
