Day 1 at PICNIC Festival 2011
LATEST STORYPICNIC Mexico goes to Oaxaca
The first day of PICNIC Festival 2011 has come and gone, and it's been one busy opening day! Our media team has been hard at work to assemble a variety of editorial coverage of all things going on at the festival site. Below are some of the coverage you can find:
Lorenzo de Rita go the day started in the Grand Theater with his talk on "The Best City Never Seen." Miss it? See it now. We'll be posting a few speaker highlights this week, with most speakers online this month.
Look for video reports and interviews from the student media team GNR8 at InHolland. Their 12-person team is conducting a daily streaming interview program and producing small reports from the festival. Check them out.
Storify: We've made several reports built up of content generated by the festival's line-up, attendees and media teams. You can find these stories here.
Twitter: You can find everything posted during the day, both by our team and always Twitter-prolific attendees, via the #picnic11 hashtag and following us at @PICNICfestival.
The venue and the people inspire photographers. Look for a complete overview on Flickr, a selection of images and short interviews with attendees on Facebook, and some unsual inspirations using the stylistic photo-app for smartphones Instagram. Look for all the photos taken with this app on your favorite Instagram viewer using the #picnic11 hashtag, for example on Webstagram.
Be on the lookout for more festival news here and on our social media platforms! See you tomorrow at PICNIC Festival!
