COMM is a meeting on the innovative, creative and technical applications and economic growth in the field of ICT and mobile phones, focusing on Africa. The session is about matchmaking, networking, inspiration and learning.

At COMM you are an active player. Specialists will present their current work and technical applications. Field experts will focus on real issues, ethics, environment and techniques. After COMM, you will have expanded your network which may lead to economic growth and innovation in Africa.

The presentations and discussions feature a selection of guest speakers from Africa. They will demonstrate the innovative solutions they developed themselves using mobile technology, mapping, open data and web 2.0 that contribute to the development of the economy and/or society.

Mission statement: Contribution to a better world through digital connection between the Netherlands, other western countries and developing and emerging economies.

Morning speakers include: Christoph Stork (Researcher ICT Africa) , Erica Hagen (Map Kibera) and Luis Villegas Gomez (IICD).
