Rupert Turnbull gets on stage to talk about the future of publishing and on knocking down walls and shifting perceptions.

Rupert Turnbull, publisher of WIRED UK, takes his company as a prime example of a place where 'New Ownership' seems particularly resonant. "It seems that every day another area of life is opened up that allows me to take more control. WIRED is the start-up within – we are knocking down walls and shifting deeply entrenched perceptions. We are the annoying 'bottom' that is making a lot of noise and the 'top' seems to be listening – the ideal combination."

During his talk at PICNIC Festival 2012, Rupert tells the story of the journey WIRED has been through and is still going through: from traditional print magazine publisher to multi-platform brand director and feels this could be instructive to others setting out on a similar journey.
