Nationale Postcode Lotterij
The Dutch Postcode Lottery (Nationale Postcode Loterij) is a charitable organization focused on supporting organizations working to create a more just and green world through fundraising and increasing public awareness with the help of a lottery.
It's Holland’s biggest and most popular charitable lottery and it supports 75 charity organizations, including UNICEF, Greenpeace, WWF, IUCN and the Clinton Foundation. In 2009, the lottery allocated 256 million euros to its beneficiaries.
Postcode Lottery Green Challenge 2011
The Green Challenge 2011 calls on creative, innovative minds to come up with concrete solutions to fight climate change. Anyone with a good idea for a product or service that reduces greenhouse gas emissions in a consumer-friendly way and contributes to a sustainable lifestyle is welcome to take part. Together with PICNIC, the Dutch Postcode Lottery started this initiative in 2007. The winner receives 500,000 euro from the Postcode Lottery to execute their plan.
