1+1=11 is the documentary that launched What Took You So Long (WTYSL) as a film making organisation for a new generation of social innovators and activists. Crossing Africa's West coast by public transport, a team of guerrilla film makers visited 22 grassroots NGOs to learn how change is made on the ground.
The team then toured this documentary to universities and hubs in the US and Europe, facilitating Open Space discussions that completed a cycle of online and offline participation with the most dynamic GenY changemakers.
WTYSL has since travelled to 35 countries filming untold stories and unsung heroes, profiling organisations and projects. The team's latest project is Fish Tank, an online education platform for guerrilla film projects, that brings people together online, connect offline, travel and produce a cause-based film.
With the introduction of PICNIC Stories, PICNIC goes beyond the event. Like the festival, PICNIC Stories is all about sharing: inspiration, new ideas, different opinions, and knowledge. If you have Stories to share get in touch with us at email@example.com
